SOLD OUT WITH ROMAN GABRIEL III

TIM TEBOW: IS HE THE REAL THING ?

What is up with all the hoopla surrounding Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow ?
The media is losing it's mind, especially a few at ESPN on the mother ship !
How do you measure wether a quarterback is successful ? Delivery, mechanics, stats, college history ?

Lets be clear, there is only one stat that matters in the NFL for a Quarterback .
Its called winning, if Tebow wins, all the detractors will be silenced. Your right, it is surprising that former NFL players who know this fact are so upset about Tebow.

Everyone has the right to their opinion, but lets be fair in how we evaluate.
I don't hear anyone calling for Blaine Gabberts head since he is zero for as a pro. I am not hearing anyone coming after Cam Newton at 1-4, or Andy Dalton for his erratic play as a rookie. The double standard is amazing.

Do any of you remember not to long ago in quarterbacks from the past ? Doug Flutie is too small
to play in the NFL ? Kerry Collins has a weird hitch in his delivery ? Warren Moon doesn't have what it takes to play south of the border of Canada ? Randall Cunningham's throwing motion is way to slow ?
Joe Montana doesn't have a strong enough arm ? Should I continue ?

I called for Tebow to be drafted in the first round while ESPN analysts who shall go un-named said he shouldn't be picked until after the 3rd round.
He is the leading passer in SEC history, including efficiency, touchdowns, etc. His delivery is a work in progress, but he has already worked himself into good enough mechanics to be effective. He needs reps like any other and game experience like any young QB.

Another point is that his coach John Fox is a old time traditionalist who like the conventional QB. In addition, it wasn't his pick or Elways. That is perfectly understandable. But its time to put up or shut up in every way. He will either prove he can play this year or he will be moved. The Broncos are playing the right card here although reluctantly.

Quarterback experts out there, can we allow Tim to play the next eleven games and then make our judgements ? Or dare I say, is this more than just about football ? Or maybe what he stands for off the field (some in the media) ? I think he's the next Kurt Warner in terms of his impact on and off the field in a league that needs more people the average man or women can get behind. So before we cut him from football, or anoint him with a bust in Canton, lets sit back and see what he can do. We will find out soon enough starting in Miami, a very comfortable place for Tebow ! Either way it will be entertaining. I just
became interested in the Broncos !
